Thinking About Social Justice.

Believing that having everyone feel comfortable in the environment that they live we live in is very important. Feeling accepted and feeling a sense of community is a great feeling. People should feel comfortable to be who they are no matter who is around and with social justice is possible. It would be a perfect world if everywhere people went they didn't fear judgment.

Summary of happiness

One study showed that those who were happy as college freshmen had higher salaries sixteen years later without an initial wealth advantage.Another study showed that women who expressed sincere joy in their college yearbook photos were relatively more likely to be married by age twenty-seven and more likely to have satisfying marriages at age fifty-two.Find Happiness Activities That Fit Your Interests, Your Values, and Your Needs to increase your happiness. I leave you on this note, do anything you can to increase your gratitude and positive thinking, it has a greatful impact on your happiness. 

"The Surprising Science of Happiness."

The outcome I recevied in the "Ted Talk", something doesnt always have to be given to make you happy. Theres a bigger percentage of people who give to others that are then to be given to be happy. Theres many different kinds of happiness theres two that I want to talk more in depth about. Synthetic happiness and Natrual happiness.  Natural happiness is what we get when we get what we wanted, and synthetic happiness is what we make when we don't get what we wanted.The most important thing in the Ted Talk that impacted me was the end when Gilbert states "our longings and our worries are both to some degree overblown, because we have within us the capacity to manufacture the very commodity we are constantly chasing when we choose experience".

Different thing pursue different peoples happiness. For instance maybe your suffering with a diabetes, therefore maybe being healthy keeps you happy. Maybe you are a person who is always juggling around your schedule to get things done which can be a stressful, so maybe being stress free can make you happy. There are numerous things that can keep us happy. Even things like music, art, sports, and things you enjoying doing can keep you happy. But it is always good to try to pursue our happiness even times when we may not even feel down.

Self Control

 We often may struggle with some of the simpiliest things in our everyday life, like maybe constantly checking your phone, even when you shouldn’t,or maybe having a hard time getting your schoolwork done when there’s something else you’d rather be doing. All things that have to do with self control. We all have self control its just how much power do we have to use it. We can use our thoughts and logic to help with use self control. Like for example with the doing homework senario if we simply just think about how the consiquences can impact us in the future, we may rethink about skipping school work to be with friends or ect.

Favorite Place

Probably one of my favorite places is the beach. To be specific, in the water waiting on my surfboard to catch the next wave. When your out in the water just sitting on your board you put your hands down and feel the water hit against your hand your far enough out to where you can just here the water hitting against your board. You look around and you see a minority of other waiting for the perfect wave just as you are. Once you finally see the wave you want you start paddling as fast as you can with your arms and then finally you stand, probably one of the best feelings, you release all bad energy and just ride the wave.

Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable

Sometimes in life we come upon uncomfortable situations, maybe you haven't yet, but if you have or when you do how do we come across it ,how do you get comfortable with the uncomfortable? Well in my case I can say I have. My second semester of high school in freshman year i decided the school I went to wasn't right for me so i was going to switch high schools to one where all my other friends attended. But in order to get to that school I had to wait 3 weeks, which meant I had to attend a school meanwhile where i knew absolutely nobody. The first day of school was probably the worst. I walked in all alone and had no one to show me around. It was probably one of the most awkward and most uncomfortable situations ive ever been in, no one to sit with at lunch no one to even socialize with. Eventually people started talking to me and I realized it wouldn't be that bad to make some new friends besides I was only going to be at that school 3 weeks so time went by and I had made a handful of friends and finally felt comfortable with the uncomfortable.
